Palmerston Place Church and the gorgeous adjacent Georgian Annan House at no 10 offer 6 great spaces for hire – from small to very large.
The location is second-to-none for public transport: less than 5 minutes from Haymarket Train Station and from the West End Tram stop, and a number of well serviced bus routes round the corner.
Our hire charges are currently based on blocks of 4 hours. We offer preferential rates to charities, not-for-profit and third sector organisations. We also offer significant discounts for weekly bookings repeated throughout the year. No VAT applies.

A small airy room located by the Palmerston Place Church Sanctuary. Ideal for small meetings. Fully accessible through ramp.

Lounge
A very bright room on the ground floor of Annan House, looking over the back garden. Set up in an informal style, with 2 sofas and 10 low chairs. Fully accessible via the ramp.

A bright rectangular room on the ground floor of Annan House, fully accessible via the ramp. Comes with a screen that can be easily connected to a laptop.

Carlow Room
A gorgeous dual aspect room on the first floor. L Shaped. Large windows at the front and over the garden at the back. Comes with a screen that can be easily connected to a laptop.

Church Hall
A very spacious rectangular space located above the Sanctuary, with an adjacent fully equipped kitchen. Bright and airy.

Sanctuary
This is where worship takes place – and has done so since May 1875!
A gorgeous semi-circular space with seats in the main space and in the gallery. Very light and airy thanks to the large windows at the top. The stage is at one end, with seats and chairs arranged in front in a semi-circular shape.
The Sanctuary is fully accessible via the ramp, with the provision of a disabled toilet.
The Sanctuary is renowned for its wonderful acoustics, and for the quality of its organ (recently refurbished) and its grand piano (a Steinweg). Both can be hired for an additional fee (subject to the agreement of the Music Director)
Because of this, it is much in demand for theatre performances and for concerts.
The pulpit and furniture can be moved to make the stage bigger.
The Sanctuary has a sound desk and AV equipment - though it is important to note that the Church will only allow a client to use its equipment if a proper induction has been carried out.
Capacity: can accommodate up to 160 people downstairs.
Groups hiring the Sanctuary out are responsible for the stewarding and for security whilst on the premises.
